The project is about walking, and touring, and telling stories. the way that Tangier is almost as much imagined as it is historical. So, we imagined, what if the streets were inhabited with ghosts that had lived a life in Tangier but that had then been haunting the streets observing the evolving modern city ever since.
We should be clear this performance is not an historical reenactment, it isn't a "ghost walk" like you might get in York Minster (for example) it is a blurry mix of history and dreams, of walking and talking, of encountering, and surprise, and knowing where you are going and getting lost.
Este proyecto trata de andar, visitar y contar historias, tal y como Tánger es conocida: a través de la ficción y a través de su historia. Así que, imaginaremos, que las calles están habitadas con fantasmas que habían vivido su vida en Tánger, pero que desde entonces han estado frecuentando las calles observando la evolución de la ciudad moderna desde entonces.
Debe quedar claro que esta actuación no es una representación histórica, no es un ‘ghost walk’ en York Minter, por ejemplo, es una borrosa mezcolanza de historia y sueños, de paseos y charlas, de encuentros y sorpresas, y…
